Boris Johnson set to appoint Sajid Javid as UK’s first Asian Chancellor

Sajid Javid is amongst four prominent Asian names that are expected to be announced in Britain’s new prime minister, Boris Johnson’s major cabinet reshuffle.
Javid is widely rumoured to grab the Chancellor position, making his the first Asian to hold the post.
The Sun reports that allies of Javid are “confident” that he has won the race for the treasury, beating Liz Truss and Matt Hancock.
Other Asian names that are rumoured for top positions include the return of Priti Patel, Alok Sharma and Rishi Sunek, in cabinet positions.
Johnson will be sworn in as Prime Minister today, with cabinet positions being announced tonight.
