Boney Kapoor dismisses rumours of Janhvi & Ishaan Khatter dating

‘Dhadak’ (2018) stars Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter’s close friendship has been under scrutiny for quite some time, with rumours suggesting they are romantically involved.

However, reported by India Today, Boney Kapoor who was questioned about his daughter’s relationship, dismissed speculation and said they were merely friends. “Yes, Ishaan and Janhvi have done a movie together and they must have become friends. I respect my daughter and her friendship with Ishaan.”

Similarly a close source to the Kapoor family also said the same when asked, “Ishaan has, in fact, never visited the Kapoor residence after Dhadak released. There is nothing more than friendship between Janhvi and Ishaan.”

In other news, there have been talks that the pair could be seen together again in a Karan Johar production, for the remake of Telugu hit ‘Dear Comrade’ (2019), but Johar has denied the rumours and tweeted to say the cast had not yet been finalised, “All the best and big success to the team of #DearComradeOnJuly26th! Also a CLARIFICATION! No lead actors have been considered or approached for the film as yet! The planning for this lovely film is underway!”
