Boney Kapoor denies plan to bring Thala Ajith to Bollywood

Producer Boney Kapoor will foray into Tamil cinema with the remake of ‘Pink’ (2016), which stars Ajith, Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang. Directed by H Vinoth, the film has been titled ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’ and is gearing up for release soon.

While that is in progress, reports are doing rounds that Ajith has signed a three-film deal with producer Kapoor and has already agreed to do an action film, which will be the second of three. It was also being speculated that the third film will be a Bollywood film and Ajith will make his debut in the Hindi film industry, reports Bollywood Life.

Reacting to all these reports, Kapoor has refuted all this and said that he is not bringing Ajith to Bollywood. “Seeing false reports of 3 film deal between Ajith and me in the media. Want to straighten the record. After #Nkp we are working on the action film. While I would love to have him on board for a Hindi film, he has not confirmed anything [sic],” he tweeted, clearing all the air around the film.

The action film that Kapoor referred to in his tweet will also be directed by H Vinoth. The pre-production works of the film have already begun and reports reveal that the film would have high-octane action sequences and will have Ajith performing them all by himself.

Meanwhile in ‘Nerkonda Paarvai,’ Ajith will be seen reprising Amitabh Bachchan’s role from the original movie.
