Critically acclaimed Bollywood actor Kay Kay Menon recently remarked about the delay in the release of his upcoming film ‘Bombay Velvet’. He feels that the film’s director Anurag Kashyap has taken the right step in postponing the release to next year as he believes in perfection and will not come up in front of audiences before being one hundred percent satisfied.

Initially, the Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma starrer was slated to release on 28th November but now the makers have delayed it to May 2015. As the film needs a lot more VFX work, it cannot be finished for a release this year.

Menon, who will be seen essaying the character of a investigative officer, doesn’t feel bothered by the delay. He told Mid-Day, “They must have thought of it before making any decision. To show 1960s is not easy, so post production will take time and Anurag will not release till he is satisfied with his work and that would be the reason they must have postponed it.”

“The film is based in 1960s, so the treatment is also different,” he added. “This is my fourth film with Anurag. We have a different connection and our working style is different. Without saying or talking much, we understand each other’s silence.”

“It’s all about creativity,” said Menon, who worked with Kashyap in films like ‘Black Friday’ (2004) and ‘Gulaal’ (2009).
