As more and more filmmakers take on adaptations of old films, another to jump on the remake bandwagon is Rohit Roy. Having finally received the right to Basu Chatterjee’s ‘Shaukeen’ (1982), Roy has managed to rope some top actors for the project.

Already having signed on Bipasha Basu, the actor-turned-producer has recently signed Boman Irani, Rishi Kapoor and Danny Denzongpa as leads in the film as well. With the script finally finished,��Times of India��report Roy explaining, “I was busy with the film for the last six months and finally the script is ready. We start shooting as soon as the actors give us the dates.”

The film is based on three old men who decide to go on a holiday break. They find themselves in Goa where they end up in all types of comical situations. The 1982 film starred Ashok Kumar, AK Hangal, Mithun Chakraborty and Utpal Dutt.
