Bollywood pays tribute to legend Shammi Kapoor

The Indian film industry has paid tribute to legendry Bollywood actor, Shammi Kapoor who passed away this morning in Mumbai.

The 79-year-old actor, real name Shamsher Raj Kapoor, was often compared to Elvis Presley due to his striking looks.

For the last few years, he was undergoing dialysis for three days a week. He breathed his last this morning after renal failure at the ICU of Breach Candy Hospital.

Shammi Kapoor leaves his wife Neeladevi, son Aditya Raj and daughter Kachan Desai.

Kapoor was the middle son of veteran theatre and film actor Prithviraj Kapoor and younger brother of showman Raj Kapoor.

According to NDTV, the legendary star was due to jam with Ranbir Kapoor in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rockstar’. Latest reports say Ranbir was obviously excited and had been rehearsing.
