Bollywood Dance School opens up in UK, Australia & Canada

A global dance organisation, Bollywood Dance School has opened up in over six cities, across three countries – UK, Australia and Canada, with the motto of “Connecting Global Communities through Dance”.

Bollywood Dance School works with expert faculty, their principal dancers and instructors from the Bollywood industry who have travelled from India to these respective countries and have been a part of the Bollywood industry with a teaching experience of over 20 years.

Bollywood Dance School aims to get Indian culture and heritage brought out to the world in the most admirable way by delivering the best training grounds to all Dance lovers across the globe. They also conduct celebrity Bollywood master classes and workshops from the biggest names in the Indian dance industry exposing the dance communities to the finest talent from the industry.

In the UK, Artistic Director and Master Instructors Rohan and Shruti, with over 20 years of Bollywood industry experience, have led the success of performing arts organisations in over three continents, teaching over 50,000 students in 13 cities across India, Canada, Australia and now UK. Echoing his sentiments, Rohan said, “To whom much is given, much is expected. With this responsibility in mind and abundant gratitude to our mentors in our hearts, we are elated to announce the start of Bollywood Dance School UK.”

While Shruti has trained Bollywood stars including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Rani Mukerji, Sonakshi Sinha, Ranveer Singh and Bipasha Basu, Rohan has worked with Shahrukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and his favourite Salman Khan. From the land of Bollywood – India, Rohan and Shruti have become the face of Modern Bollywood Dance in the UK. As discerning critics of talent, they have scouted and trained dancers for the prestigious IIFA awards production in Spain.

The Artistic Director of Bollywood Dance School UK, Shruti Ghosh added, “For sometimes to progress you must retreat. To express you must listen. Surrender to silence. Reflect and reassess. To recognise what is fundamental and what you can’t live without. And that to us is dance. And that to us is community. On a leap month of a leap year we take this giant leap of faith. And we hope that Bollywood Enthusiast have faith in us to dance with us on this new stage. A stage we could not have achieved without their love and support. Of exploring two very primal concepts. Of connecting communities globally through dance.”

Their new venture, Bollywood Dance School UK, makes dance accessible through rigorous training programs offered at multiple locations across London in Harrow, Wembley, Southall, Ilford, Dartford and Central London for students of all ages. The programs reflect various dance styles taught by expert faculty from the Bollywood industry; classes are customised to not only teach the technicals of dance, but to also foster creative expression and the confidence to perform. Classes are available for children (4 to 7 years), pre-teens (8 to 12 years) and adults (13 years onward).

Bollywood Dance School UK holds five 6-week dance terms in a calendar year. Each term culminates in a showcase for students to present to family and friends. For children and adults, these shows are the perfect opportunity to demonstrate confidence and evolution in the dance form.
