Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan dies aged 71

One of Bollywood’s most celebrated choreographers, Saroj Khan, has passed away at the age of 71.

It is reported that Khan died of a cardiac arrest at a Mumbai hospital. The news was confirmed by her nephew, Manish Jawani.

Incidentally, she was admitted to hospital last month after complaining of breathlessness. At the time, she had tested negative for coronavirus.

Khan shot to fame in the 1980s after working with veteran actors, Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit. Her last couple of work projects included a song in ‘Kalank’ with Dixit.

The funeral was held earlier today in Mumbai. She is survived by her son and daughter, Raju and Sukaina Khan.
