Bollywood celebs request a dry Holi this year

As India go out to celebrate the festival of colours, many Bollywood stars have requested the people of India, not to use any water this year.

As many towns and cities of India face a drought, there are growing concerns over how they will come out of this. Veteran superstar Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, “Water shortage in Maharashtra… and its only March. What will happen in Summer? Save water! Play a dry Holi.”

Ritesh Deshmukh also had a similar request in order to save water for the country, “The drought situation in Maharashtra is extremely serious this year. Need of the hour is to save water. This holi say NO 2 water. Dry Holi.”

And according to reports Hrithik Roshan will be refraining from throwing anything around, and mark his Holi celebrations by simply applying a tikka. Let’s hope these celebrities requests are listened to, for India’s own good.
