Bollywood Big One concerts postponed due to Ind-Pak tensions

Farhath Hussain has officially announced the postponement of the ‘Bollywood Big One’ concerts, originally scheduled for May, citing the recent Kashmir attacks and escalating tensions between India and Pakistan as the primary reason.

In a statement shared on social media, the organisers explained, “We have made the difficult decision to reschedule the upcoming UK shows after careful consideration of recent developments between India and Pakistan.

As organisers, it is our responsibility to ensure the wellbeing of everyone involved, including the artists, crew, audience, and partners. Given the high-profile nature of the event and the prominence of the artists, we must take into account the broader context and potential implications for public perception and media coverage.

The UK audience is proudly diverse, with cities like London and Manchester home to significant South Asian communities comprising both Indian and Pakistani heritage. In light of recent events, we have received numerous concerns from British Asian media and community representatives, urging sensitivity towards the current climate.

While we acknowledge that this announcement may cause disappointment, we believe rescheduling is the most respectful and responsible course of action. Proceeding as planned could risk controversy and potential reputational harm for the artists, the event, and the wider industry.

We remain fully committed to delivering an exceptional experience at a later date, when circumstances are more favourable. Thank you for your understanding and support during this time.”

The organisers confirmed that refunds will be available for all ticket holders at the original point of purchase.
