From Monday 1st April, the BBC Asian Network will tweak its evening drivetime show by having just Bobby Friction front the programme.

His co-presenter, Anushka Arora will concentrate on other projects on the station but with continuous updates on the evening show.

A tweet from Friction this afternoon said, “**ALERT** From next Monday I’ll be presenting Bobby Friction on @bbcasiannetwork weekday evenings by myself! Anushka is moving on to other role’s within the network including covering Desi Drama’s & Serials for my new show.xx So from Monday 1st April I start Bobby Friction on @bbcasiannetwork >>>> I’m ready for it….are you?”

With this change, Arora will no longer fully co-present the evening show, which she has been doing since the BBC Asian Network’s new schedule went live in October last year.

Arora tweeted, “Proud to announce I will be working on celebrating 100yrs of Bollywood&weekly round ups of Indian TV entertainment….as part of my new role on @bbcasiannetwork – listen out for it soon! :)”

A BBC Asian Network spokesperson told BizAsia, “Anushka is going to be fronting some hugely exciting content on the station as part of the 100 Years of Bollywood season of programming. She will continue to feature on the Drive/Evening show as she brings listeners details about the best South-Asian TV and Drama.”
