BizAsia IIFA Special: Possible future celeb hosting duos
The International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFAs) have been taking place since the year 2000. Every year is bigger and better than the last. Not only do the stars wait for the awards every year but also many Bollywood fans who are excited to see, what magic will be created at the events.
Over the years stars like Arjun Kapoor, Boman Irani, Lara Dutta and many more have hosted the IIFAs. It is said that the 2016 Awards will be hosted by Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar who have hosted the awards in the past. Past hosting twosomes also include Boman Irani with Riteish Deshmukh and Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
BizAsia has come up with five Bollywood jodis who would be brilliant at hosting the IIFA Awards.
Sonakshi Sinha & Abhishek Bachchan
It is true that Sinha and Bachchan have shared screen space in the film ��All is Well�۪ (2015) in which Sinha made a special appearance in the item number ��Nachan Farrate�۪. Also another fact is that their fathers have worked together in many hit films during the 80s.
This isn�۪t the only reason that these two celebrities should host the awards together, another good reason is the fact that they are down to earth and quite jolly in nature. If one was to take any of their past interviews they will see that they like to have a joke, they�۪re hilarious and they seem to have a good working relationship with others.
Sinha and Bachchan would bring everything an awards show requires entertainment, glamour and above all masti.
Riteish Deshmukh & Akshay Kumar
They came together for the first ��Housefull�۪ (2010) and ever since have worked together in the sequels too. They have not only got a good onscreen friendship but also in real life too. The behind the scenes footage of the films they�۪ve worked in have revealed this as they�۪re always seen having a good time. They seem to get on like a house on fire and there is never a dull moment. This is what is necessary at an awards show good chemistry between the hosts because without this it wouldn�۪t work and would be quite awkward for the audiences.
Deshmukh has done an exceptional job of hosting the IIFAs in the past with various celebrities but this time it would be a treat for everyone to see him hosting with Kumar.
Parineeti Chopra & Nargis Fakhri
As two of Bollywood�۪s hottest actresses right now, there is no doubt that these ladies would rock the awards. Who can forget Fakhri�۪s ever so entertaining interview on Karan Johar�۪s show ��Koffee with Karan�۪? She made that interview so fun and enjoyable that audiences who didn�۪t know much about the actress felt that she was just like them, a normal girl who laughs about the same things as them.
Chopra is another actress who is beautiful and has the charisma to charm anyone. She like many other celebrities has hosted award shows alongside other celebrities and did a sensational job. The remarkable thing about Chopra is that she is able to work well with anyone and with confidence.
If Fakhri and Chopra hosted the IIFAs together there would most definitely be fireworks.
Alia Bhatt & Priyanka Chopra
At present Bhatt and Chopra are two actresses who are in big demand. It wouldn�۪t be wrong to say that Chopra is currently taking over the world with different projects in the USA as well as in Bollywood. As for Bhatt she is making one hit film after the other and there is no holding back this passionate actress. Both actresses have tried their hand at hosting but it would be the first time that these two have come together.
They have all the requirements needed to be the IIFA hosts as they have the experience of hosting, they�۪re entertaining, talented and very stylish so they�۪d look amazing. Another talent they have is singing so maybe they could even sing for the audiences, now that would be very interesting.
Ranveer Singh & Ranbir Kapoor
The two actors who many would not think of putting together to host for various reasons. However it would be great to see these two together as they have done hosting in the past for different shows. Singh is known for his electrifying performances during the shows and his everlasting energy. While Kapoor for his enchanting charm and at times even his naughtiness, if the two joined forces it would be a show to remember.
It is something that perhaps would never happen but there is no harm in imagining these two collaborating at the IIFAs it would be remarkable.
