ZEE TV to re-launch ‘Antakshari’
ZEE TV’s classic singing gameshow ‘Antakshari’ is set to make a comeback later this year. The programme ended last year after a twelve-year run. BizAsia.co.uk can confirm that presenter of the show Annu Kapoor will not be returning to the show. ‘Antakshari’ will be re-launched in a new, youthful and dynamic avatar.

Al Jazeera to closedown on Sky Digital
Arabic news channel Al Jazeera will leave the Sky EPG line-up on Friday at the “broadcasters request”. A Sky spokesman confirmed to our sister site SkyDigiOnline.co.uk that Al Jazeera had made this request and there was no other reason for the removal. It is expected to leave the EPG line-up later today (29th September).

Record bidding for ICC media rights
On Tuesday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) began meetings with broadcasters and agencies in Dubai, marking the latest stage of its sale of media and sponsorship rights for ICC events from late 2007 to 2015. The online portal IndianTelevision is reporting that the media rights will go for around $1.2 billion. Assuming that the India part will take up around 70% of the total value of the ICC rights. “We’re looking at bidding anywhere between $1.7 to $2 billion as being the range in which the punts will be made.”
