Sony MAX cancels two film showings
Sony Entertainment Television Asia’s film and events channel MAX has cancelled the showings of two its big movies this Christmas: Waqt-Race Against Time and the other Koi Mil Gaya. A much smaller premiere of Ssukh starring Govinda will replace Waqt on Christmas Eve and Koi Mil Gaya has been replaced with Veer Zaara. It is not known why the two films have been re-scheduled. Could it be down to ZEE holding the exclusive rights for Waqt, which it showed during Diwali? For any developments, keep it with Biz Asia.

Club Asia?s Christmas Song?.with a twist
For the very first time Club Asia 963+972AM approached up and coming artists to produce its annual Christmas song which has traditionally been done in-house by the presenters.

Sumerah Ahmad, Club Asia?s Creative Director explains why the station chose to do this, ? Club Asia is all about new talent, from seeking them out to supporting them, to given them a platform on which to show case their talent. There is always a great hype and buzz about the Christmas song, so we thought this would be an ideal way to give up and coming artists the opportunity to showcase their talent ? not to mention the fact that the our presenters can?t sing to save their lives?.

A number of artists who Club Asia viewed as talented newcomers to the scene were asked to submit their ideas for this year?s Christmas song. Sumerah Ahmad, ?we were looking for originality, enthusiasm and creativity. We managed to narrow it down to three but the winners really stood out ? Menis and Nazza T ? 19 and 22 year olds from Harrow and Hammersmith. They had just three weeks to write and produce the song.
