Birthday wishes for Lara Dutta

Lara Dutta, one of the newest mums in B-town, celebrates her 34th birthday today. The model-turned-actress made her Bollywood debut in 2003, having won the Miss Universe title three years beforehand. In 2011, Dutta married Indian tennis player, Mahesh Bhupathi, and in January this year, she gave birth to their daughter, Saira.

In terms of box office success, it is safe to say that Dutta has been a part of some big banners films and co-starred with some big names. However, the actress has had a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to the popularity stakes as a heroine. What with a very many multi-starrer movies to her name – including ‘No Entry’ (2005) and ‘Partner’ (2007) – Dutta turned producer last year, alongside her husband, with ‘Chalo Dilli’.

Most recently seen in ‘Don 2’ (2011), Dutta is currently on a sabbatical following the birth of her daughter. BizAsia hopes to see the actress back on our screens very soon and hope that her first birthday as a mother is one to remember.
