Over the years this singer has sung for the likes of Lara Dutta, Kajol, Priyanka Chopra and many other actresses in films. Not only the songs became very popular but so did she for her voice which was unlike any other singers before her.
14th August marks the birthday of the sensational singer Sunidhi Chauhan, BizAsiaLive.com will explore some of the songs that she sang for various actresses.
‘Dolly Ki Doli’ (2015) didn’t manage to create waves at the box office but something it did manage to do was to create a catchy, upbeat number. Set at a wedding Kapoor is seen having the time of her life setting the stage alight with her dance performance. Chauhan is known for singing fast paced songs and phatte tak nachna seemed to be made purely for her. She sang the song in such a manner that it would make anyone want to get up and dance.
Kapoor was seen like never before in the song as she danced with great passion and was appreciated for the way she performed on the song.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
Chhaliya from ‘Tashan’ (2008) had Chauhan lend her vocals for Kapoor Khan alongside Piyu Mishra. Pooja (Kapoor Khan) is a confident girl who knows she is beautiful and she isn’t afraid to admit it. This confidence was brought through by Chauhan in the song. There were various tones in her voice one minute she would be singing in a soft manner and then the next minute she would push her vocals. It was a fun song with the combination of Chauhan and Kapoor Khan making it even more entertaining.
In the 2016 film ‘Dear Zindagi’ Bhatt had the chance to perform on a song by Chauhan. The song just go to hell dil was what could be called an emotional roller coaster as Kaira (Bhatt) is just fed up of everything and everyone. She is going through many things in her life and her emotions are all over the place. The song describes how Kaira (Bhatt) is feeling, Chauhan did a great job of bringing all that frustration and anger out within her vocals.
Kamli from ‘Dhoom 3’ (2013) became a rage with Kaif’s mesmerising moves and Chauhan’s electrifying vocals. There was so much energy in the song with Kaif’s character Aaliya trying to prove that she has talent and Chauhan’s magical vocals.
The lyrics were beautifully written and very poetic which may have seemed difficult to sing. However Chauhan didn’t seem to struggle and if she did it couldn’t be sensed. The way she sang the song with ease was amazing. It quickly became a popular song and was considered one of Kaif’s greatest performances.
The recent release ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ (2017) had Chauhan sing a duet with Shahid Mallya. The song titled Radha was a peppy number that was picturised on both Shahrukh Khan and Sharma. Chauhan’s vocals suited Sharma very well as there was a certain playfulness in her voice and Sharma can be seen dancing merrily.
Audiences are still enjoying this song and it is doing well in the music charts.
BizAsiaLive.com wishes Sunidhi Chauhan a very happy birthday.
