In his decade long acting career, Rajkummar Rao has given us multiple roles to admire and look back upon. As the actor turns 36 on 31st August 2020, BizAsiaLive.com turns back time and celebrates Rao with five of his most loved songs.
Shubh Aarambh- ‘Kai Po Che’ (2013)
Translated to auspicious beginning, this delightful track was one of three beautiful songs from 2013’s ‘Kai Po Che’. ‘Shubh Aarambh’ was a gentle reminder that dreams are woven with a lot of passion and it became the beginning of those dreams for Rao’s character Govind and his two best friends Ishaan (Sushant Singh Rajput) and Omkar (Amit Sadh). Lots of color and strong vocals by Shruti Pathak and Divya Kumar still make ‘Shubh Aarambh’ one of the first songs to mark celebratory occasions.
Muskurane- ‘Citylights’ (2014)
‘Muskurane’ is perhaps Rao’s most popular romantic ballad from the equally as popular ‘Citylights’ (2014). It is an ode to soulmates and inseparable happiness that the characters Deepak (Rao) and Rakhi (Patralekha) portray. Deepak and Rakhi try to remember that the happiness of a loved one is what matters through the trials and tribulations of their journey to success.
Kamariya- ‘Stree’ (2018)
‘Kamariya’ from Rao’s horror comedy ‘Stree’ (2018) is a hip shaking, crazy and comical dance track. It is surely to get your foot tapping and in better spirits. Rao’s facial expressions as Vicky are priceless and he is effortless in his young, child-like avatar. His comedic timing is also perfect throughout his many moves in the track.
Nazar Na Lag Jaaye- ‘Stree’ (2018)
Another song from Rao’s ‘Stree’ (2018), ‘Nazar Na Lag Jaaye’ is a blossoming love story. His character Vicky has fallen in love with Gayatri and is slowly experiencing those first moments of realization. Vicky is eager to spend time with Gayatri and Rao is sweet and soft in his portrayal as the characters walk side by side in a fun filled evening.
Sweety Tera Drama- ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ (2017)
‘Sweety Tera Drama’ from ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ is an energetic, fun and a family filled song that gave us Rao as Pritam, the timid and cute boy-next-door who shines through his unique, confident moves. Even if Pritam doesn’t know what he’s doing, he is surely going to get your attention with his ever charming smile.
As birthdays are celebrated with those near and dear, BizAsiaLive.com wishes Rao an amazing and beaming birthday!
