Birthday love: Priyanka Chopra’s girl boss moments

If there is an actress that deserves to be called the Girl Boss, it is safe to say that it would be Priyanka Chopra. Whether it is her sassy yet classy attitude to life or her flawless work ethic, Chopra has it all handled. She is committed to her lifestyle and lives in the US and India, calling herself an actress that belongs to the world, not just to Bollywood or Hollywood. 2017 has been a big year for Chopra, her US TV show ‘Quantico’ ran for a second season and has been renewed for a third and she also starred in her first Hollywood film ‘Baywatch’ as the villain, Veronica Leeds. As Chopra nears another birthday, BizAsiaLive.com looks back her girl boss moments that makes her a woman to admire.

Daring fashion at its best
Chopra has never been afraid of playing around with fashion and making more fun and daring. This birthday year, Chopra has rocked the red carpet whether it was wearing a stunning Jason Wu red gown at the Emmy Awards in 2016, gold embellished Ralph Lauren gown at the 74th Golden Globe Awards or a chic all white Zuhair Murad strapless gown at the Oscars, she looked beautiful and elegant. The most memorable of outfits have to be that Ralph Lauren trench coat gown with the long train at the Met Gala 2017, which immediately led to the media talking worldwide. Chopra later laughed at the reaction saying she loved all the memes that came out as a result of wearing the gown.

TV appearances galore
During the promotions for ‘Baywatch’, there wasn’t a channel that didn’t have Chopra gracing them with her presence. Chopra showed off her chatty girl talk side, speaking about feminism, girls doing it for themselves and even called out Wendy Williams when she called Meghan Markle, just Prince Harry’s girlfriend. Chopra also alluded to the fact that she would even be up for becoming the next female James Bond.

Landing two more Hollywood movies
It is safe to say that Chopra has made her mark with over 50 films in Bollywood and she has made an impression on Hollywood with her role in ‘Baywatch’. Chopra says that she always wanted to play a villain and loved playing Veronica Leeds, the owner of a beach club who is running an undercover drug operation.  On the back of this, Chopra has landed herself two Hollywood films – ‘A Kid Like Jake’ due to release in 2018 and ‘Isn’t It Romantic’ due to release in 2019.

Her film production house
Chopra is intent on championing good cinema and in particular, regional movies that don’t usually get the exposure on a large scale. In partnership with her mother Madhu Chopra, Chopra’s production house Purple Pebble Pictures announced at the 70th Cannes Film Festival with a first look at their new Sikkimese film ‘Pahuna’ due to release in October 2017.

Her work with the UNICEF and other charities
Chopra may have a thousand projects on the go but she still makes time to give back to society. She has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador raising awareness about child victims of sexual violence. In May 2017, Chopra travelled to Zimbabwe to meet the child survivors of sexual violence and listen to their stories.

Chopra is a real girl boss and she strives to be the one who can accomplish it all. She is not only actress but a role model for girls and women everywhere. BizAsiaLive.com wishes Priyanka Chopra a very happy 35th birthday and all the best for the coming year.
