Birthday Love: Five of Shraddha Kapoor’s best dance moments

Birthdays give us a time to rejoice and dance to the beat. Shraddha Kapoor has been doing just that in her decade plus career. Kapoor has given us a chance to groove since her 2010 debut in ‘Teen Patti’. Her heavily choreographed moves for her charming characters to the most ambitious ones have amazed the audience. BizAsiaLive.com takes a walk down memory lane with five of Kapoor’s most loved dance moments to mark her 34th birthday on the 3rd of March.

Dance Basanti- ‘Ungli’ (2014)
Kapoor had been serenading the audience with her romantic ballads for a couple of years when we saw her and Emraan Hashmi in the track Dance Basanti from ‘Ungli’. This would be the first time we would see her in a upbeat new avatar and a part of a complete dance number. The Bosco-Caesar choreographed moves were simple, and the fast paced lyrics in Vishal Dadlani and Anushka Manchanda’s vocals were a welcome change for Kapoor.

Cham Cham– ‘Baaghi’ (2016)
Cham Cham from ‘Baaghi’ gave the audience a chance to witness Kapoor in a cute and playful avatar with her bubbly steps in this Monali Thakur track. While we did see her matching steps with Tiger Shroff, the song was entirely hers to take over. Ganesh Acharya’s smooth choreography allowed Kapoor to immerse herself in a song that was fully dedicated to her character’s introduction.

The Humma Song– ‘Ok Jaanu’ (2017)
While all the songs from ‘Ok Jaanu’ were equally popular numbers, we saw Kapoor in a new age sensuous & flirty avatar in The Humma Song from ‘Ok Jaanu’. There was mix of fun and naughtiness in her dancing, which added to her chemistry with Aditya Roy Kapur, and elevated each step from Vaibhavi Merchant’s sharp choreography.

Milegi Milegi- ‘Stree’ (2018)
Milegi Milegi from ‘Stree’ is perhaps Kapoor’s most quirkiest dance track till date. Until Milegi Milegi, her moves were polished and poised, with no room for error, but the choreography in this sequence allowed Kapoor to let her hair down and be her eccentric best. Her steps had a mixture of humor and energy which gave the audience a glimpse of what was to come in ‘Stree’.

Illegal Weapon 2.0– ‘Street Dancer 3D’ (2020)
Kapoor’s dancing style went through a complete transformation with Remo D’Souza’s ‘Street Dancer 3D’. Illegal Weapon 2.0 from this dance film had Kapoor showing off sexy, fluid moves that were unlike any of her previous films or songs. Choreographed by Rahul Shetty & Kruti Mahesh, the film showcased Kapoor’s immense growth from moving to light, romantic choreography to competitive numbers like this one.

BizAsiaLive.com wishes Shraddha Kapoor a happy 34th Birthday!
