Birthday Love: 5 Iconic things about Anil Kapoor

There may be many Kapoors in the Indian film industry but this Kapoor has worked extremely hard over the years to have his name recognised not only in Bollywood but in Hollywood too. He has been working in films as an actor and at times as a producer trying new things constantly. TV is also something that this actor has tried doing and has achieved a lot of success with it.

24th December this year marks the 60th birthday of the ever young Anil Kapoor and on this occasion BizAsiaLive.com will look at five things that are iconic about him.

The iconic muchay aka Moustache

At the present time men having facial hair is considered to be a fashionable thing. Artists like Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Fawad Khan have been seen sporting this look with confidence. However it was a different story back in the 80’s as not many heroes were known to have moustaches then. It was only when actors like Kapoor and Jackie Shroff entered the industry and decided that this look was in.

When did Kapoor’s moustache become so iconic nobody knows but one thing is for definite that whenever Kapoor shaved his moustache for a role the audience’s didn’t quite like it.

There have been around three films in which Kapoor has appeared without his famous moustache such as ‘Lamhe’ (1991, ‘Jhoot Bole Kauwa Kaate’ (1998) and ‘Salaame-e- Ishq’ (2007).

 Signature dance step

Who would have thought that this one dance move would become a signature step for Kapoor. This famous dance step was taken from the film ‘Ram Lakhan’ (1989). My name is Lakhan is the song that introduces Kapoor’s character, Lakhan Pratap Singh in the film.

This step was used again in the song gallan goodiyaan in the 2015 film ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’. All the Ram Lakhan fans got to see Lakhan do his signature dance move with the exact same passion as back then.

The memorable Dialogue

There are many dialogues that one can associate with Kapoor but there is one that forever stands out and that is “Ek dum Jhakaas” taken from the film ‘Yudh’ (1985). It is this dialogue that is still remembered by his fans and celebrities alike.

In the film ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ (1994) Aamir Khan’s character Amar Manohar would constantly use this dialogue to show style when doing anything be it while fighting or while showing off to Crime Master Gogo.

Forever Young and Stylish

Over the years Kapoor has managed to find a way to maintain his youthful looks. During interviews he has always been questioned as to how he keeps himself looking young. He has always said that he tries to eat right and exercises regularly.

Whatever he is doing it seems to be doing the trick as he is looking younger every day.

Also his style is very fresh even his latest hair cut shows that he is still very much up to date and knows what he can get away with when it comes to style.

Family Forever

Kapoor loves his family dearly from his wife Sunita Kapoor and his three children to his brothers and their family. He supports each and everyone with everything they do including the youngsters in his family.

His daughter Sonam Kapoor is an actress and style icon and his other daughter Rhea Kapoor is a film producer as well as a stylist. Last but not least is his son Harshvardhan Kapoor who recently made his entry into Bollywood.

There is another family member who is excited to finally be able to work with his uncle and that is none other than Arjun Kapoor. During interviews and events he has never been shy to express how much of an inspiration his uncle is to him.

Very soon both uncle and nephew will be seen in the film ‘Mubarakan’ which is to be released in 2017.

BizAsiaLive.com wishes Anil Kapoor a very happy birthday.
