Bipasha Basu hits back after Mika Singh recalls on bitter working experience with actress
Bipasha Basu has responded to singer Mika Singh after he shared his experience of working with her on Bhushan Patel’s web series ‘Dangerous’, which also starred her husband, Karan Singh Grover.
In an interview with PinkVilla, Mika Singh questioned why the couple had been “out of work” for five years following their last project together. He remarked, “Why do you think they are out of work now? God is watching everything.”
Mika explained, “I liked Karan a lot, and I wanted to back a film that would put my music in the spotlight. I was aiming to make a low-budget film, around Rs 4 crore.”
He went on to explain that they brought on director Bhushan Patel, who had previously worked with Bipasha on Alone, where she played a double role.

However, Mika revealed that the project faced complications. “The shoot was set in London, and the budget quickly escalated from Rs 4 crore to Rs 14 crore. The drama caused by Bipasha made me regret getting involved in production. She was working with a team she was comfortable with, and they had to play a couple, which included intimate scenes. Suddenly, she started throwing tantrums, refusing to do this or that,” Mika stated.
He added, “Someone was always unwell. At one point, Bipasha was sick, and at another, Karan was unwell,” and further criticised the attitude of some actors. “When out-of-work actresses blame their bad luck, they need to remember to respect producers who offer opportunities. They are your gods. Some may be content with small roles in Dharma Productions films but fail to show the same respect to small-time producers who are paying them the same amount of money.”
In response, Bipasha took to her social media with a subtle message, saying, “Toxic people create chaos, point fingers, shift blame, and avoid taking responsibility.”
