Bihar Chief Minister to act if Sushant’s family demand CBI investigation

Many who want some answers into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, including his family, have kept the pressure on the authorities in Bihar to further investigate the circumstances of the actor’s alleged suicide. As such, a miister in Bihar has said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will surely act if the family demand a CBI probe.

Sanjay Kumar Jha, the state Water Resources minister, has criticised Mumbai Police, according to TOI. He said that instead of conducting a proper investigation, they have “”indulged only in event management and photo-op in the name of inquiry. The chief minister will definitely act if demand for a CBI inquiry comes from the family of Rajput”.

Jha went on to add, “For a good 45 days, they (Mumbai Police) did not do anything to unravel the mystery shrouding Rajput’s suicide, except for using the time to indulge in photo-op and event management… and now when the Bihar Police team is doing a sincere probe they are creating hurdles for them”.

Rhea Chakraborty’s plea to move the Supreme Court to have the full investigation to happen in Mumbai and not Bihar is due to be heard on 5th August, and will be opposed by Singh Rajput’s family, with the support of the government of Bihar.
