‘Bigg Boss’: Court adjourns case until early-Dec

Colors has won yet another reprieve from the Mumbai High Court after it said that the Information and Broadcasting Ministry required more time to prepare its response to the petition filed by Viacom18.

Colors had moved the court last week after the Ministry instructed the entertainment channel to move ‘Bigg Boss’ to a later night slot due to its adult content. Colors said the I&B Ministry order had mentioned no date as to when the show was against good taste and decency. The show has been on for one and a half months and the content cannot be classified as obscene. Also due to commercial agreements, it was unable to move the show in such short notice.

The hearing was expected today, however, Colors will now be able to continue airing the show in the same 21:00 slot until Friday 3rd December at least. ‘Bigg Boss 4’ will air until Saturday 8th January.
