‘Bigg Boss 4’ ends; winner announced

Colors’ popular reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss 4’ has come to an end after an astonishing 14 weeks on-air.

The final episode aired this evening showed actress Shweta Tiwari become the first ever female winner of the show in its four-year run. She beat off competition to bag the Rs. 1 crore prize from runner-ups Khali and Ashmit Patel. Dolly Bindra was first to exit the show from the four remaining celebrities.

In the final moments of the show, host Salman Khan entered the ‘Bigg Boss’ house to usher out Shweta and Khali before eventually declaring the winner outside the Lonavla compound.

On winning the title, an over-whelmed Shweta Tiwari said, “I am really happy to win Bigg Boss Season 4. It۪s like a dream come true. Throughout my show I was non-pretentious and played the game with utmost honesty. I am grateful to my fans who voted for me, believed in me and helped me reach where I am today. It was indeed unique experiences of my life time. I have learnt a lot and I am grateful to COLORS and Endemol for giving me this opportunity to be part of such a successful show.”

This year’s ‘Bigg Boss’ has had its fair share of controversies surrounding a ‘wedding’, Pamela Anderson’s entry on the show and the Indian government clamping down on its adult content. Despite this, the show has had a successful run on the channel with an average rating of 3-4 TVR.
