‘Bigg Boss 18’ launch in UK to be delayed again due to ‘Big Brother’?
After last year’s delayed release of ‘Bigg Boss 17’ on Colors TV UK, it appears that parent company Viacom18 is making efforts to ensure the upcoming ‘Bigg Boss 18’ series airs concurrently in both India and the UK. However, rumours suggest UK viewers may once again face a deferred launch due to concerns over a clash with ITV’s ‘Big Brother’.
The production house, Banijay, is reportedly considering pushing back the UK release of ‘Bigg Boss 18’ to avoid overshadowing the highly anticipated return of ‘Big Brother’, which ITV has heavily invested in. Last year, ‘Bigg Boss 17’ was delayed in the UK until ‘Big Brother’ finished airing, forcing Colors UK to launch the series several weeks after it premiered in India.
With ‘Bigg Boss 18’ expected to launch during the first weekend of October – the same time as ‘Big Brother’ in the UK—fans are left wondering if history will repeat itself. If the same scheduling conflict arises, UK viewers may once again have to wait several days to watch the much-anticipated reality show.
