India�۪s first movie-on-demand service from Reliance Entertainment Digital today has announced its ��big deal�۪ with IndiaCast Media Distribution Pvt Ltd, a joint venture between TV18 and Viacom18.

By bringing this deal into effect, BigFlix has acquired the Internet rights of some of the best films of Viacom18 Motion Pictures�۪ & Colors’ released in the recent past. Additionally, BigFlix has also obtained the digital rights of some Films that are slated to be released soon.

Commenting on the tie-up with Indiacast, Sandeep Mehra, Head of Content & Distribution at BigFlix said, ���We at BIGFLIX are delighted about our association with IndiaCast that will now allow us to bring some blockbuster titles to the huge base of internet viewers on our platform. Speaking on the announcement, Anuj Gandhi, Group Chief Executive Officer, IndiaCast said, ���There is a growing base of movie viewership on the digital platform as more and more people are tuning in to watch films online. The alliance between BigFlix and IndiaCast will allow BigFlix to launch an interesting catalogue with an assortment of Viacom 18�۪s recent hits like ‘Inkaar’, ‘Oh My God’, ‘Department’, ‘Special 26’ and ‘Aiyya’ as well as earlier blockbusters like ‘Jab We Met’, ‘Kidnap’, ‘Golmaal Returns’, ‘Life Partner’ and ‘Luck’ that will be available for pay subscribers in high quality, sans advertising.
