Bollywood legend, Amitabh Bachchan and filmmaker Karan Johar have cancelled their respective film promotions today in a mark of respect to late actor Vinod Khanna, who passed away this morning.
Bachchan, who was giving interviews for his upcoming film ‘Sarkar 3’, reportedly left the media half-way to be with Khanna’s family in hospital. Later, all the interviews scheduled for ‘Sarkar 3’ were cancelled. While, Johar whose production house Dharma Productions was set to premiere ‘Baahubali 2’ in Mumbai cancelled the plans.
A statement from the team of ‘Baahubali’ said, “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved, the legendary Vinod Khanna. The demise has come as a huge shock to all of us.”
Khanna passed away at the age of 70 this morning. He was reportedly suffering from bladder cancer.
