Veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi kapoor will be seen coming together in Sudhir Mishra۪s ‘Mehrunissa’.

Both actors have worked together in films like ‘Kabhi Kabhi’ (1976), ‘Naseeb’ (1981), ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ (1977) , ‘Ajooba’ (1991) and were last seen on screen together in the film ‘Coolie’ (1983). Sources report that there is a possibility, the actors’ sons Abhishek Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor will also be part of the film playing the younger versions of their fathers.

Rumours are that Mishra had considered Chitrangda Singh, Vidya Balan, Priyanka Chopra and even Deepika Padukone to play the female lead. However, the director is apparently still contemplating on who should play his lead heroine and is looking for someone who could convincingly romance both Bachchan and Kapoor.

‘Mehrunissa’ is a story about two friends who go separate ways and call their friendship quits. Their friendship is divided as a result of a woman entering their lives.

  1. But we still love Geo. Geo is the voice of Pakistan not a voice of UK. Please conduct survey how many pakistani people watching BBC & CNN in Pakistan?

    • If you read this article carefully, it has mentioned that the viewers of Geo TV have reduced. It means, less people watched Geo in May as compared to people who watched it in April. They are not comparing it with Sky News or BBC viewers in UK.

  2. I personally support the decision made by PEMRA. however the punishment is less. Geo should be an opinion maker not Decision Maker channel.
