Bhumi Pednekar: “I purely go by my instinct when I read a script”

Bhumi Pednekar, hoping to maintain her success streak with ‘Chambal’, recently shared how she chooses projects which have resulted in her spotless film career.

In an interview, Pednekar told Times of India that she does not understand how a film might impact her career, so she chooses scripts that excite and challenge her. “I literally chase characters and I know that it (‘Chambal’) is going to be challenging and is a tough film for me as well. I am very thrilled about doing this.”

Criticized for playing similar roles in all her films, Pednekar said that typecasting is not a concern that impacts her decisions.”I have never really chased a ‘breaking that mould’… I am not an actor who sees that now I will do romantic, urban, thriller films. I am not that sort of an actor. I purely go by my instinct when I read a script.”

Pednekar’s upcoming film ‘Chambal’ is a fictional story based on the dacoits of Chambal. The team is lead by ‘Udta Punjab’(2016) director Abhishek Chaubey and stars Sushant Singh Rajput in a lead role.
