Bhumi Pednekar hopes to surpass expectations with ‘Manmarziyan’

After a natural performance as a debutante in ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ (2014), Bhumi Pednekar went on to surprise the audience once again with her extreme weight loss. Pednekar, who has recently bagged all the Best Newcomer awards, is hoping to surpass expectations with her next film, ‘Manmarziyan’.

Absolute India quote Pednekar as having said to Agencies, “I know there are a lot of expectations, but that energy to me is more motivating. I’m more motivated to do better and I hope I can surpass my performance as Sandhya, the character that I did in ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’… I can surpass and become Rumi in ‘Manmarziyan’.”

Speaking further about the film, she added, “It’s very relevant to what love is today and how love changes you. And the girl is happy, peppy and blunt to the face, but at the same time very stable and mature.”

Directed by Sameer Sharma, ‘Manmarziyan’ stars Pednekar opposite her debut film costar Ayushmann Khurrana once again.
