Betar Bangla Radio begins tests ahead of launch

A new community radio station targeting Bengali listeners is set to launch in East London later this month.

Betar Bangla Radio will provide a service for people of British-Bengali heritage in East London opportunities to engage with the station through training and broadcasting.

Betar Bangla has been broadcasting short-term transmissions for the past eight years. Betar Bangla will be one of the first fully fledged Bangla infotainment radio stations in the UK.

The station is currently testing on 1503AM in the region before officially going live on Sunday 26th December. To mark the launch, Betar Bangla will be holding a party at a venue in Manor Park, London.
