Bereaved Emraan Hashmi resumes shooting for ‘Azhar’

Not even a week after his mother, Mahira, passed away, Emraan Hashmi was back on the sets for his professional commitments for his next movie, ‘Azhar’.

A source close to the actor told Hindustan Times, “Emraan cancelled only one day’s shoot when he got to know about his mother’s demise. He did not want to delay the shoot any further. He also wanted to occupy his mind with work. So, he returned to the sets the soonest he could.”

Apparently, to make up for the lost time, Hashmi shot for over 12 hours in one day to complete two days of work. “He wanted to get the schedule back on track,” added the source.

Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and directed by Tony D’Souza, ‘Azhar’ is slated to release on 13th May.
