Bengali channel iON TV prepares for Sky launch

New UK based Bengali infotainment channel, iON TV is set for a Sky launch.

The channel has been testing off the Sky EPG for a number of days. It is currently broadcasting back-to-back Bengali music videos.

iON TV will be competing with a number of other Bengali channels in the UK, however iON TV is planning to differentiate its output with local programming.

iON TV is set to launch later this month on Sky channel 862, replacing SEE TV.

Tests of iON TV can be viewed at the following parameters below:

-> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu
-> Select System Setup
-> Select Add Channels
-> Enter frequency: 11.538 (V), FEC: 5/6, SR: 22000 / DVB-S / QPSK
-> Find Channels and Press SELECT
-> Highlight “4032″ service and press Yellow button
-> Return to Services Menu
-> Other Channels (6) on STB / (8) on Sky+
-> Click on “4032” to view the channel

  1. One problem I have with Channel S is that they keep repeating shows, show old programs they don’t produce good programs as they use to they just use other channels programs to show us drama etc .. only one thing is good live shows.

    With Atn, Channel I and NTV they produce good programs, drama etc… they are an Bangladesh based Channels and have good pressence In Europe to bring as good Bengali entertainment.

    As for Bangla tv snice launching in Bangladesh they have been better showing us good programs but before they use to RTV programs.

    I don’t like cut copy and paste channels .

    You can tell when a channels is not good I really hate Channel S keep repeating stuff.

    Hope Ion can bring something for British Bangladeshi’s we can relate to. Bangla HD channel would have been good.
