Bebo turns down Karan Johar�۪s next
Kareena Kapoor rued the day when she last turned down a Karan Johar film, ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ (2003), stating issues with her pay cheque. The film launched Preity Zinta�۪s career to super-stardom, with��Zinta sweeping all the awards that year for her sensitive turn as Naina Katherine Kapoor. Despite that, word is that Kapoor has turned her good friend down once again – this time��for a hush hush project with Ekta Kapoor starring Emraan Hashmi.
Johar��and Ekta have been in talks about the Hashmi starrer for a while. The female lead was a toss up between Bebo��and Katrina Kaif but the project finally went to Bebo.
“Kareena was not entirely convinced about the film. She is extremely close to Karan, but the actor wants to do a magnum opus directed by him,� said a source in an interview to the Times of India.
Kapoor and Johar have collaborated on 4 films – ��Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham�۪ (2001), ��Kurbaan�۪ (2009), ��We Are Family�۪ (2010) and more recently ��Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu�۪ (2012).
Kapoor was last seen in the box office dud ��Agent Vinod�۪ which released last month and will be��seen next��in ��Heroine�۪ and ��Talaash�۪, both of which release later this year.
