The bold and beautiful Kareena Kapoor had a very eventful birthday this year what with the release of the much-hyped ‘Heroine’. The role was intenseand onewhich many critics hailed her in but the actress has now said she would like to do some light-hearted cinema.
The project in question will be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and will be directed by Punit Malhotrawho made hisdirectorial debut with’I Hate Luv Storys’ (2010). Kapoor will be seen alongside Imran Khan in the forthcoming film in what will be the second outing for the jodi. Talking to PTI, Kapoor said, “After Heroine I wanted to do a film which is good fun and carries a light hearted feel. Today’s young bunch is making such good movies and after Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, I would love to work with Imran again. Moreover Karan is family”.
A source close to the project also added, “Even Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu started on a happy note, only to become a tad serious as it progressed. With Agent Vinod preceding Heroine and Talaash coming soon, the going has been way too serious for Bebo. No wonder she has been promised by Karan and Punit that there would be quite some fun in store for her in the yet untitled film”.
It certainly will be refreshing to see Bebo in a more happy-go-lucky avatar. Stay connected with BizAsia for more on the project.
