The Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) today decided to give the production rights for the upcoming Indo-Pak series to Trans World International (TWI).
TWI was awarded the rights to produce live feed for telecast of the matches on Doordarshan in an emergency meeting of the BCCI Working Committee.
“After evaluating the offers received by the Board for the television production for the series, the house unanimously decided to grant the rights to TWI. Their offer is $ 1.5 million which we are negotiating,” BCCI President Ranbir Singh Mahendra told reporters.
BCCI also said it will invite bids for overseas rights for the series.
In an interim order of the Madras High court earlier, the telecast rights for the three-Tests and six one day internationals were given to Doordarshan.
