BBC to produce TV drama for Bangladesh
The BBC World Service Trust is launching a new television drama for Bangladesh, in an attempt to promote learning English in a country which is one of the largest sources of immigration to the UK.
The series features a young woman who goes to Dhaka only to discover that she is the co-owner of a supernatural detective agency based in an antique shop.
The drama is to be shot in Bangladesh from November until next July, the production is part of a broader drive by the Trust to stimulate interest in learning English.
