BBC One axes ‘The Omid Djalili Show’

BBC One has axed ‘The Omid Djalili Show’ after a run of two-years.

The British-born Iranian initially did well with his eponymous chat show in 2007 and 2008 but have audience figures have fallen ever since. Once peaking with over 3 million viewers, the show’s audience fell to 2 million after it was shunted to a late night slot.

Djalili will continue to work on other BBC projects, such as the forthcoming scripted comedy In My Country, but will no longer have a stand up show to himself.
