BBC News Punjabi Twitter account “withheld” in India

The Twitter account of BBC News Punjabi has been “withheld” by authorities in India as the huge police crackdown on radical Sikh preacher Amritpal Singh continues.

The BBC News Punjabi Twitter account is inaccessible in India. It reads, the “account has been withheld in India in response to a legal demand.” Some journalists in India have also had their Twitter accounts blocked in India.

Furthermore, the central government in India has pulled down six YouTube channels promoting pro-Khalistan views.
