BBC Maida Vale sound engineer Miti Adhikari passes away

Miti Adhikari has sadly passed away at the age of 69.

The esteemed BBC sound engineer dedicated over three decades to crafting rock music sessions at Maida Vale, as reported by RadioToday. His remarkable career saw him working with iconic artists such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, and Arctic Monkeys.

Adhikari first joined the BBC in the late 1970s as an assistant studio manager, before becoming a key figure at Maida Vale. His contributions were instrumental in shaping John Peel sessions and BBC Radio 1’s live music output until his retirement in 2012.
