Rohit Shetty’s ‘Bol Bachchan’ (2012) has proven to be a huge success worldwide. BBC Asian Network’s Raj&Pablo caught up with Abhishek Bachchan to talk about the praise he has received for his performance in the film.
Pablo asked Bachchan about the pressure added to him what with his surname being part of the film’s title. Bachchan answers, “You know… I never really thought about it, when I read the script I just knew it was very entertaining… Never thought of it but now you mention it, thank God it worked”.
Raj asks the actor whether comedy is indeed the hardest genre, to which Bachchan says, “It was terribly tough, it was the toughest film I۪ve ever made because I believe comedy has very little to do with the actor, if it۪s not in the material it۪s not going to be funny… Everyone was worried about timings so extensive rehearsals took place, it actually took me a good week 10 days to get into the correct pitch of the performance…”
