BBC Asian Network to launch two free podcasts

The BBC Asian Network has announced that it will launch two free music podcasts.

‘Asian Network Music Chart’ podcast launches Saturday 17th November after the midday show and counts down the top 20 tracks of the week’s play list as well previewing new music ahead of being played on air on Monday.

Bobby Friction�۪s ‘Friction: New British Asian Music’ podcast launches after the show on Monday 19th November and will bring the latest in British Asian music and unsigned talent.

Bobby Friction said of his new podcast: “It’s very exciting to think the sort of music that I play on Friction will be listened to on the bus, the tube, in the air and thousands of miles away on a beach after downloading the podcast for FREE!”

Other Asian Network podcasts you can download for free are ‘Love Bollywood’ and ‘Silver Street’. All BBC podcasts are available from bbc.co.uk/podcasts.
