BBC Asian Network record audience figures

The BBC Asian Network on Sky Digital channel 869 has for the first time topped the half a million mark in the latest audience figures released today.

The BBC Asian Network now has 535,000 listeners compared with 473,000 last quarter and 453,000 last year.

Jenny Abramsky, Director of BBC Radio & Music, said, “Today’s strong figures mark the end of an excellent year for BBC Radio. I am particularly pleased to see the Asian Network top the half million mark.”

The BBC Asian Network is available nationally on Sky channel 869 or in Birmingham and Leicester on frequency 1458am.
