BBC Asian Network major programming overhaul details emerge


The BBC Asian Network is today announcing one of its biggest programming overhauls in recent times, with new presenters joining and some existing on-air talent leaving.

Whilst the station is yet to announce the full details later today, BizAsia can confirm:

DJ Kayper is leaving her Friday night show on 19th October
Sonny Ji is leaving his Saturday night show on 20th October
Rupal Rajani left the station last week, to re-join BBC Leicester
Anushka Arora (Deepa Rai) is defecting to BBC Asian Network in October. She leaves Sunrise Radio this week. She is rumoured to take over the Drivetime show with Noreen Khan moving to Mid-Mornings. However, the station is yet to confirm
Friction will be leaving the Asian Network Chart Show to make way for a new voice – a former Sunrise Radio presenter
Friction will be leaving his late night shows
