BBC Asian Network launches new series ‘Not Even Water’ to celebrate Ramadan
Comedian and writer Fatiha El-Ghorri is to host the new series of ‘Not Even Water’, a podcast exploring Ramadan and fasting. The series, produced by BBC Asian Network, aims to provide an open and engaging space for discussions about the month of fasting in Islam.
El-Ghorri will be joined by various guests, including Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, comedians Shabaz Ali and Muhsin Yesilada, and content creators Sebinaah and Nadoosh. Together, they will discuss faith, fasting, and the cultural significance of Ramadan.
A special finale episode will be recorded in front of a live audience at Common Space in Bradford on Tuesday 25th March marking Eid. The live recording, held in partnership with Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, will be available on BBC Sounds after the event.
Tickets for ‘Not Even Water Live’ are free and can be applied for through the BBC Shows and Tours website until Sunday 9th March.
