BBC Asian Network hunt new presenters

Could you deal with music, news and features on the BBC?s national Asian Network radio station? If you?ve never worked on national radio but reckon you could showcase the best in music, culture and conversation, then this could be your chance to pick up a six-month contract on BBC Asian Network.

Find out more:
Up for grabs is an opportunity to host your own weekend show, which could even fit around your regular job or career. We?ll also provide training and your own mentor.

To enter: Imagine that you?re presenting your own show, and record the following information on to CD, audio cassette or mini disc. Announce a track you might have just played and follow it with a What?s On? guide, which can be factual or fictional and should include at least three events you think would be of interest to the audience. We?d also like to know a bit more about you, so tell us why the Asian Network audience would find you interesting. At the end of the piece introduce another track you might play. The whole package should be no longer than three minutes. Send it with the entry form provided on www.bbc.co.uk/newtalent (if you don?t have access to the internet, then call 08700 10 60 60 and ask for a form to be posted) to: New Radio Presenter, BBC Asian Network, The Mailbox, Birmingham, B1 1RF. Hints and tips are available on www.bbc.co.uk/newtalent. You must be over 18 to enter.
