BBC Asian Network confirms Jay Sean for London Mela

The BBC Asian Network has confirmed that chart sensation Jay Sean will be attending this year’s London Mela next month.

This will be Jay’s first major gig in the UK since conquering the charts in the States. This will be Jay’s first performance at the London Mela after four years. He will promote his new album ‘Freeze Time’.

BBC Asian Network teams up with the London Mela for the sixth consecutive year and will host the main stage. The station will also broadcast from the Mela between 14:00 and 21:00. Furthermore, it will film majority of the main stage performances, which will be relayed on digital TV through the Red Button from Monday 5th September.

Jazzy B, Mumzy Stranger, Bollywood singer Ash King, Hunterz and Surinder Rattan are some of the other artists that have been confirmed.

The London Mela takes place at Gunnersbury Park on Sunday 4th September.
