BBC Asian Network announces festive shows

The BBC Asian Network has announced a number of shows to mark the festive period, as a part of the BBC’s Christmas/New Years plans.

The line-up consists of special shows with a Christmas backdrop, plus comedies and a nativity.

Mawaan & Emilys Kebabmass
Monday 18th December, 21:00-00:00

Mawaan and Emily head to a bona-fide Kebab shop for Kebabioke Live! Each week on the radio, they ringunsuspecting kebab shops and break into song, in the hope the kebab servers join in and sing along. Thistime, they͛ll be behind the counter in person, hoping the kebab hungry customers step up to the challenge. There͛s only one catch – they have to sing Christmas songs.

A Very Royal Speech

Noreen Khan delivers the Asian Network Alternative Christmas speech, featuring all her fellow presenters together!

Parle Patel͛s A Very Guju Christmas Time

Parle invites listeners into his home to experience what a very Gujurati Christmas time entails. Expect the return of Parle͛s much loved characters!

Asian Network Presents: The Nativity Story

Presenter and comedian Guz Khan is joined by Bad Boy Billy to give the much loved Nativity story the ͚Roadman͛ treatment! Known for his irreverent weekly spin on classic tales in Guz͛s Tuesday night show, Billy͛s decided to diversify into festive tales.
