BBC 5 Live’s Anita Anand to co-host new show

Anita Anand has been announced as co-presenter on the new BBC Radio 5 Live Sunday morning show which starts this week.

Anita will join Sam Walker in presenting Double Take, the Sunday news programme between 09.30-11.00.

The former ZEE TV newsreader has regularly presented the Daily Politics on BBC Two. Anita is also a familiar voice on 5 Live having presented 5 live Drive for three years alongside Peter Allen before taking maternity leave in 2010.

Double Take will take a fresh look at the big stories of the previous week and anticipate the coming week’s news with big guests and interrogate what lies behind the headlines.

Anita’s co- presenter Sam Walker hosts a daily afternoon show on Manchester’s Key 103 and is a regular presenter on BBC Radio Manchester.
