Bauer Media confirms closure of FHM magazine

Popular UK men’s magazines FHM and Zoo will be closing down.

Bauer Media confirmed the news in a statement, “Unfortunately it’s true and it has been announced today the intention to suspend publication of FHM.” The statement added that it had been “an absolute joy producing the magazine over the years. Thank you for all your support, we will keep you updated with developments over the coming weeks.”

FHM was launched in 1985 under the name For Him Magazine, while Zoo was launched in 2004.

The news comes as a blow to the print publication industry, which has been struggling due to the growing popularity of online publications. The statement added, “Men’s media habits have continually moved towards mobile and social.”

FHM in India and Pakistan are expected to continue as normal.
